Business Requirement / Challenges

The Government of Rajasthan in a technological leap for the state development had envisaged a state-wide Video connectivity to optimize the operations and enhance governance efforts in the state. This Comprehensive Video network was required to be operational even at Low Bandwidths.

Technologies Evaluated

RajComp Info Services Ltd. (RISL), (formerly RajCOMP) is a Government of Rajasthan undertaking which expertise in IT consultancy, e-Governance project conceptualization and implementation, capacity building in the IT area, provision of customized IT solutions spanning hardware as well as software projects. RISL works under aegis of Secretary, IT&C, Government of Rajasthan. RISL had evaluated several Video Conferencing products available in the market, but none of them could pass the test of connectivity at Low Bandwidths and seamless management of large Video Conferences, amounting to nothing less than 400-500 parties connected in a single conference.

Solutions Deployed

PeopleLink's Comprehensive deployment covers the entire state of Rajasthan through 32 districts. PeopleLink deployment includes 500 Port MCU at each of 32 District Head Quarters (DHQs), 1000 Port MCU at the Central State Head Quarters (SHQ) with 100% redundancy. The complete deployment is based on a state-of-the-art distributed architecture for optimizing the MCU ports and bandwidth at each location for maximizing the returns on the Investment.
