S9.1 Application

This Schedule applies to Products in Annexure A category 9. Such Products are composite products within the meaning of Annexure A note ¹.

S9.2 Component allocation

The structure, chassis, column, arms, power system, isolation transformer and cable management are governed by this Schedule; integrated components by Schedules 2, 5, 6, 7 and 10 respectively; third-party peripherals integrated at the Customer's request by the warranty of their respective manufacturers, as recorded on the handover document.

S9.3 Acknowledged characteristics

The Customer acknowledges that:

(a) rechargeable battery capacity declines with charge cycles;

(b) disinfectant and cleaning agents other than those specified in the product manual may degrade coatings, plastics and seals.

S9.4 Defects

The following shall constitute a defect:

(a) cracking, separation or failure of the chassis, column, welds or mounting arms under rated load;

(b) drift or sag of the column or arms under rated load;

(c) failure of the height-adjustment mechanism within 5,000 cycles;

(d) battery capacity below sixty per cent (60%) of rated capacity within twelve (12) months or 500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first;

(e) failure of the onboard power system or isolation transformer within the Warranty Period; and

(f) failure of a castor to rotate freely or brake effectively within twelve (12) months.

S9.5 Matters not constituting a defect

(a) Battery capacity loss within the limits of S9.4(d) or after the battery warranty period;

(b) coating or plastic degradation from unspecified disinfectants;

(c) castor wear after twelve (12) months;

(d) damage attributable to equipment added by the Customer in excess of rated load or power budget;

(e) failure of third-party peripherals.

S9.6 Conditions of cover

Use on level surfaces within rated load; charging per the product manual; cleaning with specified agents only; relocation between floors or buildings only by the specified method; no unapproved modification or addition of equipment.

S9.7 Regulatory responsibility

PeopleLink warrants the cart and the components supplied by it. Responsibility for the regulatory and electrical-safety compliance of the assembled clinical configuration, including third-party devices, rests with the operator.

S9.8 Service

On-site service as first response, including component replacement at site. Where collection is required, PeopleLink shall arrange packing and transport.

S9.9 Consumables

Batteries beyond S9.4(d); castors beyond twelve (12) months; keys, locks, straps, baskets and trays.
