What is the PeopleLink Dante Speaker?

The PeopleLink Dante Speaker is a 2-way coaxial Ceiling Speaker rated at 30W, built for even audio playback in Meeting Rooms, Conference Rooms and Boardrooms. A 6-inch waterproof woofer and 1-inch adjustable silk dome tweeter give a 65Hz to 20kHz response with 111dB peak output. Dante audio networking carries the signal over the network, so the speaker fits AV over IP installations.

Does it work with PeopleLink room solutions?

Yes. The Ceiling Speaker handles playback while a PeopleLink Ceiling Microphone handles pickup and a PeopleLink Camera handles the view, so a room can be specified as one set. Because the parts come from the same OEM, the installer commissions a single signal path instead of matching separate suppliers.

How many PeopleLink Dante Speaker tiles does a meeting room need?

A single 30W tile with a 65Hz to 20kHz response and 111dB peak output fills a typical Meeting Room, while larger Boardrooms and Classrooms use two or more tiles spaced for even coverage, all powered and networked over PoE and Dante. Share your room size and ceiling type with a PeopleLink specialist for a layout.

Who installs and supports the speaker?

Installation, service and support are delivered through PeopleLink Partners and Resellers in your region, with PeopleLink AV Specialists supporting them on sizing and integration. The tile mounts flush or suspended and includes a fireproof cavity and safety rope, so it suits both new fit-outs and retrofits into an existing ceiling.

Why choose a PoE Ceiling Speaker over an amplified speaker circuit?

PoE carries power and Dante audio to each tile on one network cable, so the ceiling void does not need separate amplifier runs and speaker loops. That makes it simpler to add or move a speaker later when a room layout changes. It also keeps the audio path digital from the room system to the tile.

How does the Dante Speaker fit a campus or multi-room rollout?

Dante networking lets a facilities team route audio to rooms across the same network rather than wiring each space in isolation, so a campus or an office floor is configured centrally. Rooms take one tile or several depending on size, using the same part throughout. Ask a PeopleLink AV Specialist to set the spacing per room type before ordering.

Overview

What a Ceiling Tile Speaker does for even Playback in a Meeting Room

The PeopleLink Dante Speaker is a Ceiling Speaker for Meeting Rooms, Conference Rooms and Boardrooms that need even audio playback. Each 2-way coaxial tile delivers 30W through a 6-inch waterproof woofer and a 1-inch adjustable silk dome tweeter, with a 65Hz to 20kHz frequency response and 111dB peak output. Sensitivity above 89dB at one metre gives clear sound at modest power, and Dante networking with PoE removes separate amplifier wiring above the ceiling. It pairs with PeopleLink Ceiling Microphones and Cameras for Hybrid Meetings. Flush or suspended mounting lets the ceiling stay finished rather than look fitted out.

The PeopleLink Dante Speaker is a high-performance professional audio speaker designed for conferencing, collaboration, and enterprise communication environments. It features a powerful 30W output with a 6-inch waterproof woofer and a 1-inch adjustable silk dome tweeter for exceptional audio clarity and balanced sound reproduction. The speaker supports Dante audio networking technology for seamless integration with modern AV-over-IP conferencing systems and distributed audio environments. With wide frequency response, high SPL performance, and premium acoustic design, the Dante Speaker delivers immersive audio experiences for meeting rooms, classrooms, and professional installations.

Where a Dante Speaker Fits in Your Organisation

How organisations deploy a Dante Speaker, and what changes for the teams that use it

Enterprise

Boardroom Audio for a Financial Services Firm

A financial services firm fits PeopleLink Dante Speaker units flush into the ceiling of its Boardroom so far-end voices arrive evenly at every seat, not from one corner. Each 2-way coaxial tile carries 30W through a 6-inch woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter, with a 65Hz to 20kHz response that keeps speech natural. Power and Dante audio arrive over PoE, with no separate amplifier wiring above the ceiling. Paired with a PeopleLink Ceiling Microphone and Camera, the room runs Hybrid Meetings without visible equipment.

Education

Classroom Audio for a School Group

A school group standardises its Classrooms on the PeopleLink Dante Speaker, one or two tiles per room depending on size, suspended or flush mounted to match each ceiling. Wide, flat frequency response and 111dB peak output mean a lesson or a video plays clearly to the back row without turning the volume up. Dante networking lets the facilities team route audio across the campus network, and the speaker pairs with a PeopleLink Camera and Ceiling Microphone for Hybrid Lessons.

Healthcare

Seminar Room Audio for a Private Hospital Group

A private hospital group runs clinical teaching sessions in a Seminar Room where consultants present to staff on site and at other campuses. PeopleLink Dante Speaker tiles in the ceiling carry the far-end voices and playback, their sensitivity above 89dB at one metre delivering clear sound at modest power. The 6-inch woofer and silk dome tweeter keep speech natural, and PoE keeps the ceiling void free of separate amplifier wiring. With a PeopleLink Ceiling Microphone and Camera alongside, every question in the room reaches the remote campuses.
